Good condition with visible age-related wear.

    Translation :

You sank down like roses sink,

When they stand in full bloom,

    And hot, bitter tears flow,

Because we will not see you again.

Who would have thought of you,

That you would be brought to rest so early.

Now, good heart, rest in peace,

Silently mourned by your loved ones.

The tragic news struck us deeply and heavily that our dearly beloved son and good brother,

    Fritz Brockmann

    Corporal in a Parachute Regiment,

sacrificed his young life for all of us and his beloved homeland at the age of 21 after being severely wounded on May 16, 1944, in Italy. He followed his brother eight months later.

    In deep mourning:

    Widow Luise Brockmann, née Rüter,

Heinz, Anneliese, Hilde, Else, Gertrud, and Herbert as siblings,

    and all relatives.

The memorial service will take place on Sunday, July 30, at 1 p.m., in the church at Volmerdingsen.
