Description:
Offered for sale is an authentic Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen (German Defense Wall Honor Award), complete with its repro ribbon and orginal issue packet. This bronze oval-shaped medal features the Nazi eagle clutching a swastika at the top, with a crossed sword and shovel symbolizing labor and military defense. The reverse side is inscribed with "Für Arbeit zum Schutze Deutschlands" ("For Work in the Defense of Germany").
The accompanying ribbon(repro) has a golden-yellow base with white stripes, and the award comes in its original paper packet, which is labeled "Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen" in black Gothic script.
